Juniors section

Welcolme

We have an exciting junior section at Roseberry Grange Golf Club and welcome players of all ages and golfing abilities. We provide opportunities for junior members to learn to play golf and understand the rules and etiquette of the game, in a friendly and safe environment.

Junior Coaching

Mark Rayson, our PGA Professional Golf Coach, runs the Junior Development Programme and offers individual, shared or group lessons, along with coaching camps and golf clinics.

Handicap

At Roseberry Grange, our beginner ‘blue’ tees are officially rated, alongside the yellow and red tees, to help all juniors gain an official WHS handicap, whatever their level.

Competitions

Roseberry Grange junior club competitions are held on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer and are open to all junior golfers in all tee categories (blue, red and yellow). There are also Durham County Golf Union Junior competitions, Junior Opens at other clubs, and various friendlies. The competitive season culminates in an End of Season Celebration and Presentation Evening.

Facilities

At Roseberry Grange, junior golfers have access to our practice facilities, including a multi-purpose chipping and putting area and a floodlit 240-yard driving range. There is also a clubhouse serving refreshments throughout the day, changing facilities, and the LEDA Golf shop.

Safeguarding

We have England Golf SafeGolf accreditation and adults involved in the Roseberry Grange Golf Club junior section are fully DBS checked. We also expect all juniors, parents and volunteers to sign and agree to the relevant Code of Conduct, to ensure the safety of everyone concerned.

Membership

Membership runs until March 2024 and allows juniors full access to the course and its facilities.
